Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We and our third-party partners may use cookies on our Services to store information about users on the users’ computers as well as other tracking technologies, such as web beacons, pixels, SDKs, scripts, location-identifying technologies, and logging technologies to automatically collect the personal information described in this section (and otherwise expanded upon in other sections).

The Services use automatic data collection technology and services such as “cookies”, “web beacons”, “tags” and other similar technologies. A cookie is a small data file that is placed on the hard drive of your computer so that your computer will “remember” information when you visit a website. Web beacons and tags are small strings of code that are used in conjunction with a cookie and that allow us to record activity on our Sites/Services. A web beacon allows us to capture certain additional types of information about a visitor’s actions on a website, such as a visitor’s cookie number, device and browser information, the time, date, duration and number of page views, a description of the page where the web beacon is placed, and details about any items that were purchased.

When you use the Services, these technologies may record and collect personal information, such as information that identifies your computer, tracks your use of our website and collects certain information about you and your surfing habits. This information may include information that identifies your device, IP address, browser type and language preferences, and information about referring and exit pages and URLs, keywords, date and time, what sections of a website you visit, and other similar information concerning your use. This information is used for the purposes mentioned above and to help us serve you better by improving our website design, as well as our products, services, and promotions. We also use the technologies mentioned above to improve functionality of the Services and user experience.

You have various options to limit information that is collected through cookies and tracking technologies. For example, you may set your browser so that it will decline cookies. If you do not wish to have cookies placed on your computer, you should set your browser to refuse cookies before using our Services, with the drawback that certain features of the Services may not function properly without the aid of cookies. In addition, you may review and adjust the settings provided by your device manufacturer to limit the content you receive on your device, such as push notifications, or to disable certain features that collect your information, such as location services.

“Do Not Track” Signals

Your browser settings may allow you to automatically transmit a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal to websites and online services you visit. At this time there is no consensus among industry participants as to the meaning of “Do Not Track” in this context. Like many other websites, our Services are not configured to respond to “Do Not Track” signals from browsers.

Communications

You can opt out of receiving certain promotional communications (emails or text messaging) from us at any time either by following the instructions provided in emails to click on the unsubscribe link. Please note that your opt-out is limited to the e-mail address or phone number used. If you opt-out of only certain communications, other communications may continue. Even if you opt out of receiving promotional communications, we may, subject to applicable law, continue to send you non-promotional communications, such as those about your purchase or transactions.

Sweepstakes, Contests, and Promotions

We may offer sweepstakes, contests, and other promotions (each, a “Promotion”), including Promotions jointly sponsored or offered by third parties, which may require you to submit personal information. If you voluntarily choose to enter a Promotion, your information, including your personal information, may be disclosed to us, our co-sponsors, service providers, and other third parties, including for administrative purposes and as required by law (e.g., on a winners list). By entering, you are agreeing to the official rules that govern that Promotion, which may include consent to additional or differing data practices from those contained in this Privacy Policy. Please review those rules carefully.

Third Party Websites and Links

The Services may provide links to websites or other online platforms operated by third parties. If you follow links to sites not affiliated or controlled by us, you should review their privacy and security policies and other terms and conditions. We do not guarantee and are not responsible for the privacy or security of such sites, including the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of information found on these sites. Information you provide on public or semi-public venues, including information you share on third-party social networking platforms may also be viewable by other users of the Services and/or users of those third-party platforms without limitation as to its use by us or by a third party. Our inclusion of such links does not, by itself, imply any endorsement of the content on such platforms or of their owners or operators, except as disclosed on the Services.

Certain parts of the Services may permit you to interact with certain third-party services, such as third-party social networks. If you post information on a third-party service that references the Services (e.g., by using a hashtag associated with the Services in a tweet or status update), your post may be used on or in connection with the Services or otherwise by WBE. Also, both WBE and the third party may have access to certain information about you and your use of the Services and any third-party service.

Children’s Data

The Services are intended for a general audience, and are not intended to be used by children. We do not knowingly collect any personal information about anyone under the age of 16. If you are the parent or guardian of a child who has provided us with their personal information, you may contact us at notices@worldbassenterprises.com to request that it be deleted.

Security and Retention of Your Information

Please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee “perfect security.” In addition, any information you send to us may not be secure while in transit. We recommend that you do not use unsecure channels to communicate sensitive or confidential information to us. We take commercially reasonable security measures to protect the information that you provide to us; however you use the Services and provide information to use at your own risk.

How long we retain your personal information depends on different factors, such as whether we need the information to maintain your account, to provide you with Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce other applicable contracts and policies.

International Transfers

WBE is based in the U.S. and the information we collect is governed by U.S. law. If you are located in the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA), and/or Switzerland, please note that we do not intend to offer goods and services (including the Services) to EU, EEA, or Swiss individuals. If you are accessing the Services from outside of the U.S., please be aware that information collected through the Services may be transferred to, processed, stored, and used in the U.S. Data protection laws in the U.S. may be different from those of your country of residence. Your use of the Services or provision of any information therefore constitutes your consent to the transfer to and from, processing, usage, sharing, and storage of your information, including personal information, in the U.S. as set forth in this Privacy Policy.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised Privacy Policy on this website, update the “Last updated” date and provide notice as required by applicable law.
